We Could Never Be.

Is it really good enough for you to call me then?
Is it really good enough for you to have left her way back when?
Is it really good enough for me to be ready for love?
Is it really good enough for you to wish you could rise above?

We will never be good enough for eachother I've decided.
But if we tried it out we might not be so undivided.

The drinking, the partying, I can try to change...
The miscommunication, the pill popping, you'd have to rearrange.

You might fall in love with me and realize I'm the missing piece to your puzzle.
Our lives could be different, they wouldn't have to be such a struggle.

But you are you, and I am me...
And we are both too stubborn to open our eyes & see.
